Washable Sanitary Pads

One of my friends started to use them, as she says, they are more environmentaly (no landfill waste). She said they are increasingly popular, but I "have never heard of anyone using them. Am I wrong?

Look, I'ma guy, so anything I say here may be thrown out the window, but if you know something about the CSI, you also know that any form of collection of blood left, can be found with a spray a single, undisclosed, chemical, which allows anyone to see (and study of DNA samples) blood left by the traps.
Therefore, there must be a micro-organism left on the mouth because of the problems (though minute) in the future.
