?????????????? Toe pain Ok, so in the corners of my big toe, sometimes they are really bad! as sensitive to the touch! and if I am a pedicure yesterday and it was like picking soemthing in my big toe and now it hurts! but this happens even when you do i pedicure! plzz help reale hurts !!!!!
Maybe an infection of the skin around the nail and cabin.
The infection is called paronychia. " In general, it occurs in the area around the sides of the nail, but can also effect the cabin. It turns red and will hurt when you touch it.
It can be caused by different things. Ingrown nails are the most common cause. It can also be caused if you cut the nail too short, leaving a sharp edge. This causes the skin and allows bacteria to break in.
It is not uncommon and when it reaches the infection is usually always clear on its own within 3-5 days. If it becomes severe may develop an abscess that must be drained. If it happens again and again in the same place, you can get a doctor to try to make sure it isn't an ingrown toenail. Otherwise the infection will return again and again until you find what is the origin.
