Rosacea Dermatitis

Rosacea DermatitisRegimine to control Seborrheac dermatitis and rosacea?

Hello everyone. I (for three to four years) have developed Seborrheac dermatitis around my nose, around the eyebrows, and in my beard. Its particularly bad when I leave the shower (which becomes red and sometimes scaly). I also have a case of Benin rosacea on my cheeks. My Derm. perscribed me doxycycline (an oral antibiotic) for rosacea, and Elidel for sebderm. Seems to work for most, but I'm not happy with my complexion ... sebderm and comes and goes.

Does anyone know of a treatment regimine (facewash, soaps, moisturizers) who work for these two conditions? Oral antibiotics make my skin extremely sensitive to the sun ... which is a bummer, because UV is good for sebderm (or what I heard ).... and most facewashes I tried to dry my skin moisturizers ... and tend to irritate sebderm especially in and around my beard. Ideas?

Skin disorders such as eczema, psoriasis, dry, flaky, scaly, red or irritated skin, are often painful, unsightly and downright frustrating. They are generally easier for a rash, and can often last long. As you, do not despair! It can be something you have to suffer with the rest of your life. The victims had tried many, many treatments to cure their skin diseases in the long term. About PPL who know nothing about pharm. products will tell you that NO pharm. Antibac is supposed to be taken for more than three months. I've never met a dermatologist who knew that the time and they generally expect you to be on any toxic product they recommend for you for years. This is a serious danger that is rarely acknowledged in these treatments.

So I will list in order of importance, some of the things that others have found useful and can be considered safe for years of treatment.

First, you may need to understand what causes it, and then what to do about it. Your most likely options include:

1) the loss of moisture. Water is absolutely vital. It not only hydrates, it is also essential for smooth function of all body systems, including the elimination of toxins from the skin. Most of us in Western culture are very dehydrated, and used to it! We all need our 5 to 8 glasses of water per day. Coffee is not water or pop or even tea. All of these are diuretics, and require an equal amount of water to compensate. Whenever we have our cup of coffee, we need to balance it with a cup of water. Although juice and herbal tea are not water, they are no less dehydration and should not be compensated by an extra glass of water. Then you have your coffee, but keep your water bottle handy!
In addition to water, moisture from the skin needs oil to prevent evaporation. If you do not have oil, you evapotransporate in hours! Although this is not your only issue, a series of essential fatty acids gives wonderful results in the fight against much of the state by helping to nourish and hydrate your skin from within. Essential fatty acids will not make you fat, because they are essential components of every cell in your, and are found in many oils. Raw linseed, evening primrose, fish oils, borage, black currant, and many others contain Omega 3, 6 and 9 essential fatty acids in varying proportions. The linseed oil in pill form or liquid, is my favorite. It is cheap and has all the necessary Omegas, but it is not as high in some to make it perfect. When you use a liquid, it must be consumed within 3 weeks. Take with food, and I've never heard of an overdose even though it may have a laxative effect. I'm not a fan of evening primrose oil. It's very expensive, and thanks to his report of estrogen, may be a downer for those inclined to it. Fish oils, while cheap, contain a form of vitamin A can be toxic at high doses.
