Organic Mattress Pad

Organic Mattress PadGets a pretty good organic mattresses for the protection of mattresses gaseous chemicals out?

Organic mattresses start to $ 1,700. The purchase of a regular mattress and a mattress organic / topper sufficient protection of the chemical fumes? Or is the only way to go completely organic?

The only real outgas chemicals would glue and solvents used to clean these parts.
My mother has multiple chemical syndrome, which means it has a severe reaction to almost any chemical odors. Needless to say, it is difficult for her to shop, but his experience, we have all learned that degas most things by themselves within 1-2 years. I also know from experience that this would not prevent Topper something about him venting ... it might actually make more time (because it does not get enough air on the upper part which is covered), and you'll still smell the fresh smell of the bed bottom (not curly).

If you want a new bed degassing quickly put in a room with an air purifier good, and leave it there for a while ... must be degassed especially in a few months or so if a room is otherwise empty. We once made the mistake of having a freezer in the back room where we were gassing of furniture and the freezer started venting .... It stank for months in their!

Anyway, if you're worried about chemical odors, opt for a small business or one that makes them internally so that you can specify that you do not want too much glue or chemicals in (which is not an option in most areas ).... or just get a bed that was in a non-smoker for some years. Good luck!

[EDIT]: Sorry, I should have said ... air purifier, we used to help degassing is an ozone generator, and it helps to degas rapidly. Our experience (both with and without identical items) and our research before buying the said.

Hi Hogie. The first answer is the right information in it, but you can not increase the rate of degassing of anything by using a purifier chamber. The purifier does nothing for the mattress, it just helps to remove chemicals that are already in the air (if an appropriate type of purifier most - are not).

I recently looked at new mattresses and also found that cotton / organic mattresses are expensive. I decided to go with a futon in 100% organic cotton. It cost me about $ 600 versus $ 1,500 for the standard model of mattress. Futons are not for everyone, but I like mine.

Best wishes and good luck.

No button will not enough to prevent the mattress top or gassing chemicals invade your body.

If your mattress is more than 3 years old / all chemicals have already gassed and not a problem, but if you buy a new mattress and do not want that exposure to chemicals, yes, organic or go all natural is the only way to go.

If you are considering buying a new mattress and get an organic buffer, there is not really the question. The new mattresses out there (excluding organic one) are filled with chemicals and gas off horribly.

What about just getting a simple piece of low organic mattress that you can build. There are many companies out there offering latex mattress construction that does not cost $ 1,700 and you build with your budget.
