Naturepedic Has anyone tried the non-toxic crib mattresses from Naturepedic? I read a ton of information about toxins in crib mattresses possible and I fear it could help my daughter's eczema. I noticed a trend. She has started to make the eruption, when it was put in her crib (about 3 months). I changed over only cotton sheets and bumpers, thinking perhaps it was polyester, but it still has the rash. It is horrible on her cheeks when she wakes up, but fades during the day when it is in place and play and away from the nursery. I was put to sleep in the park now and the rash goes away. I ordered a mattress cotton naturepedic and I was wondering if anyone else has bought one and what their experience has been. all three of my boys had skin problems. I used a natural cotton futon crib for each of them. The only thing you have to realize is that allergies and reactions can occur at any moment all that is why you want every opportunity to minimize. Get a mattress while cotton is a great starting point, like cotton sheets and blankets. But if you're not using a detergent-sensitive laundrey Derm, it is useless. My boys still have occasional break outs and its usually when the detergent is laundrey is on or not rinsed well enough or they do not rinse in the shower (the boys are lazy notariously on hygiene!) you might want to look into getting a mattress laytex natural - they are 100% non-allergenic and will remain so for life. Report Abuse "Crib mattress" - ... http://www.originalmattressfac Flag Unfortunately, the toxins in a mattress can cause skin problems, so much more ... there were amazing research on toxins link to SIDS. Yes, there are toxins in the whole, almost all the mattresses, playpens, co-sleepers ... basically anything that is fire retard ... all cotton leaves is a good start and I pray that the mattress is not used. Toxins appear stronger each time a mattress is used. I enclose a link for a mattress, you can buy to keep your baby safe from toxins in mattresses for babies. Posted on January 24, 2010.
