Mattress Protection

We will be purchasing a top quality mattresses and box springs set. The company provides coverage for "10 + year mattress protection plan Allergy Machine washable protection" for $ 100. Is it worth it? Under what circumstances would one use a mattress protection plan?

I read that "The extended warranty" is almost never a good deal for the consumer .... they do not put extra money in the pocket and the seller of the company ...

Unless you have young children, disorder, or who are really nasty to your mattress, I guess when you get it.
I had the same mattress cheap for about four years now. I turn regularly for wear evenly on both sides.
It is incredibly well preserved, to my great surprise of such a mattress cheap-o.
