How can you open a folder on a mini keyboard Think top to try to solve the control switch? I have an old IBM think pad, and it seems that the little switch that turns the monitor does not work, I'll try to watch and maybe see if I can do something about it, but can not understand how to reach, even with all sfter saw that I could find. And an external monitor can be connected to it just in case. I think it's a Pentium 3.
This little switch you speak not turn the monitor. All it does is tells the computer if the lid of the notebook is closed or open.
If you do not receive any video on the screen, I can almost guarantee you it is not because of this switch.
You probably have another issue causing the problem. It could be any number of things.
Try external monitor, if you are able to use the computer with the external monitor, you can isolate the problem to the video card, panel inverter, flat cable or the backlight.
From there, you probably want to get a professional look.
