Thank you in advance. Make sure you are getting daily soluble fiber. Work to about 7 grams per day. I say talk to your doctor first before doing this. Diverticulosis is a outpocketing the wall of the colon usually in the lower left corner in the sigmoid. Its origin is increased pressure intraluminar a history of low dietary fiber. It is very common and is usually diagnosed by colonoscopy. If food particles get stuck in small pockets can become inflamed and this is very painful and may eventually lead to a perforated bowel. So the best thing to do is maintain a healthy level of fiber to keep the pressure down the intestine. Posted on February 7, 2010.
