Black Beauty Grass Seed

I planted seeds of eggplant a while ago and they grow well (or so I thought) when we went to a garden center, they had eggplant seedlings that seemed quite different to my seedlings. Mine are different and they look like black beauty grass (or is what my husband), I took with them, but now I am worried because when I Googled eggplant seedlings I do not know who looked like mine I think they are more like watching the squash plants, then I give up or do you think my grass like plants eggplant research could be (they were a new sealed pack)
