Australian College Of Beauty Therapy

Im moving with family to Australia in 2010 and am a beautician in the United Kingdom with NVQ level 3 beauty treatment technologies (also a lot of extra training with international companies and also have over 5 years experience ) I need to retrain in an Australian beauty college to work in a salon Books? or can I apply for jobs immediately? Thank you very much:)

I think you'll realize that you are better trained than most beauty therapists in Australia. I would be surprised if you need to do extra training to get a job if employers can not be familiar with your qualifications you might need to demonstrate your skills - there is no need for licenses or something like it.

Studying or training in a beauty school can be an alternative, but it's worth trying to apply for a first job. Perhaps there is some beauty salon style that love of beauty in the UK, then try it first, then if you can not have a job for about a week or 2, it's time you consider investigating the Australian beauty school.
